Drennan, Sean

Player Profile:

Sean Drennan (a.k.a The Lift-Bridge) is the long serving second baseman for the Brewers and is an automatic to be pencilled in at 2nd on gamedays. Drennan is known for his slick fielding and is a fierce competitor. As always the Brewers will be looking to Drennan to be the catalyst for the offense during the 2010 season.

Eidt, Jon

Player Profile:

An original Twin, Eidt became a member of the Brewers when the two teams merged in 2008. An automatic to be pencilled in the top half of the batting order, Eidt has the ability to hit to all fields and also deliver in the clutch; as his grand slam in the playoffs last season will attest. Eidt brings instant respect to a stacked batting line-up, as well as solid glove work in the field.

Fay, Jim

Player Profile:

Jim Fay enters his third season as a Brewer, and the former Twin will be motivated to improve on a disappointing 2009 which saw his fail to qualify for the playoffs. Fay brings another solid arm to the rotation and has the ability to log innings on back to back games. His presence was sorely missed last season in the finals vs the Hobos, so the Brewers are hoping Fay can play in 5 of the first 10 this season. He can also hold his own with the stick, so the offense will surely benefit from a full year of Jimmy Fay.

Outfield

Player Profile:

After an impressive rookie season which saw JP Federico battle through the ups and downs of the BVBL, Federico has been busy this winter preparing for a breakout second season. He showed great progress throughout the year and peaked during the playoffs with some clutch hitting. He has surprising speed for a player of his height, which helps him get to a lot fly balls in the outfield. The Brewers will be looking for Federico to keep his confidence levels high, and are hoping "ska-douche" can build on what he did in 2009.

Helm, Shawn
P/3B/1B

Player Profile:

Shawn Helm is one of the most senior members of the Brew Crew, and a popular player throughout the league. Like many of his teammates Helm displays a competitive fire that can sometimes get him in trouble with his teammates, but is needed for him to be at the top of his game. Helm is a mainstay in the middle of the batting order, and the hard throwing righty also anchors the pitching staff.

Lisac, Dan
1B/2B/3B/OF

Player Profile:

Dan Lisac is a veteran Brewer, who brings experience and competitiveness to every detail of his game. Having his leadership on the team is essential to any success the Brewers may have in 2010. And his fielding at 1B is always guaranteed to generate a few chuckles, especially from him. When Lisac is on his game, few in the league are better.

MacDonald, Joe
Outfield

Player Profile:

Joe MacDonald enters his third season as a Brewer after beginning his career with the Twins. Known as perhaps the fastest player in the league, nobody can bust down the line quicker than this guy. His speed constantly puts pressure on opposing defences, making him a staple at the top of the batting order. When MacDonald is seeing the ball like he can, he's one of the toughest outs in the league. He also provides excellent defence and will be relied on to take over the centrefield duties from gold glover Chris Browning who unofficially retired following the 2009 season.

McDuffe, Dave
C/P/3B

Player Profile:

Dave McDuffe is one of the more versatile players in the league, as well as another long serving Brewer who has been in all kinds of pressure situations. "Duff", as he's known to his teammates, can hurt you in many different ways. He's a hard throwing arm on the pitching staff and also a valuable catcher with plenty of experience, who provides a strong arm for potential base stealers to think about. McDuffe has also been known to come up with the key hit when the game is on the line.

McLean, Tim
Outfield

Player Profile:

Timmy MacLean has become a veteran on this team. Cheese will be looked upon to bring solid defence to the outfield position, as well as balance to the batting order. MacLean is as steady as they come on defence and will enter 2010 as one of the leaders in the outfield. Burger helps keep the club loose and he's not afraid of pressure situations either.

Player Profile:

Chris McLean will make his long awaited Brewers return in 2010 after a brief hiatus from the game. Mac will no doubt improve the pitching staff as well as the depth of the outfield. Known by his teammates for his competitiveness and hustle, Mac brings an intensity that is infectious to the rest of the team. The Brewers welcome Mac to the fold and look forward to having him back in the line-up.

Nelson, Freeman
P/1B/2B

Player Profile:

Freeman Nelson may be one of the elder statesmen on the team, but that definitely doesn't portray what he does on the field. A scrappy player on both sides of the field Freeman is usually the first to pat a teammate on the back when they succeed, but also quick to pick them up when they're struggling. Nelson has always been a solid contact hitter who will provide balance to the batting order and a tough out every time he digs in. He also brings solid depth to a pitching staff that will no doubt be stronger in 2010.

Player Profile:

Player-Coach Robinson returns for his second season as Brewers manager, and will look to continue on his success of 2009. Joining the fold midway through the season, Robinson provided an instant confidence to the Brewers players as well as respect to the coaching staff. No longer do the players have to concentrate on the subtleties of the game as Robinson is more than capable of being the decision maker. Once onboard last season the Brewers reeled off 8 consecutive victories, and rode that wave all the way to the finals. Robinson has a fierce competitiveness and is not afraid to stick up for any of his players.

Sutton, Mike
SS/P

Player Profile:

Another long serving Brewer, Sutton is a staple at the shortstop position and can also fill in on the mound when needed. He is without a doubt the team leader on the field, as well as in the parking lot after the games. Known for his ability to get a clutch hit when needed, Sutton can also flatten empty beer cans with anyone else in the league. The Brewers will be looking for the "Crusher" to do his thing again in 2010.

Thoburn, Adam
1B/P

Player Profile:

Another former Twin, Thoburn enters his third season as a Brewer and first as a married man. The Brewers are banking on another solid season from the crafty lefty, who happens to sport a dazzling knuckleball, offsetting the hard throwers on the staff nicely. Thoburn is a quality team-first guy, who provides stability at the first base and pitching positions. Known as a slap hitter, Thoburn is at his best when it comes to timely situational hitting. The move to wooden bats may have sapped some of his power, but the lanky lefty can still jerk one out from time to time.

Turner, Jack

Player Profile:

Jack returns to the Brewers this season after taking a year off to wait for his 30th birthday. We are pleased to welcome him back to the fold. Jack brings a lot of intensity to the park every night, and will be relied upon to add more depth behind the dish and on the mound.

Player Profile:

Another long serving Brewer, Vali will be a key player in deciding how far the Brewers go in 2010. He will be the first to admit his 2009 season wasn't one to be satisfied with. That's not to say Vali had a disappointing season, however his teammates know he's capable of taking to another level. Vali provides depth behind the plate and can also be relied on to pitch whenever called upon. He is a definite middle of the order hitter who will look to get lots of chances to drive in runs.
