Player Profile: Freeman Nelson may be one of the elder statesmen on the team, but that definitely doesn't portray what he does on the field. A scrappy player on both sides of the field Freeman is usually the first to pat a teammate on the back when they succeed, but also quick to pick them up when they're struggling. Nelson has always been a solid contact hitter who will provide balance to the batting order and a tough out every time he digs in. He also brings solid depth to a pitching staff that will no doubt be stronger in 2010.
