Another former Twin, Thoburn enters his third season as a Brewer and first as a married man. The Brewers are banking on another solid season from the crafty lefty, who happens to sport a dazzling knuckleball, offsetting the hard throwers on the staff nicely. Thoburn is a quality team-first guy, who provides stability at the first base and pitching positions. Known as a slap hitter, Thoburn is at his best when it comes to timely situational hitting. The move to wooden bats may have sapped some of his power, but the lanky lefty can still jerk one out from time to time.
